ATTIC Theatre Company
has produced ten World Premieres and eight English premieres in the
last twelve years. We combine new work with cutting-edge revivals of neglected
classics and tour some of the best text based work in the UK.
In 2012 we will be re-mounting our excellent production of 1936 by Tom McNab at the
Lilian Baylis Theatre in London to celebrate the Cultural Olympiad and the London Olympics. Dates: 18 July - 05 August.
Also planned is a co-production with Lightning Ensemble, exploring the world of dementia.
Our Outreach programme spans the generations. We run Many Voices a drama workshop project for young refugees and asylum seekers. We tour very successful shows for the over sixties - Ma Kelly's Doorstep tackles Bogus Caller Crime and Ma Kelly Plays It Safe looks at Safety in the home, while our new play Ma Kelly Goes to the Games looks at healthy living. We also run a singing group with the over 55's - Going for a Song!
